An adaptation of hit online game “Cut up Fiction” starring Sydney Sweeney and directed by Jon M. Chu has landed at Amazon MGM Studios, Selection has confirmed.
As Selection first reported final month, together with the information of Sweeney’s casting and Chu directing, the script for the film is being written by “Deadpool & Wolverine” screenwriters Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick.
The “Cut up Fiction” movie will likely be produced by Mike Goldberg and Dmitri M. Johnson’s Story Kitchen (previously dj2 Leisure) and Chu’s Electrical Someplace. Sweeney is about to govt produce.
From developer Hazelight Studios and writer Digital Arts, “Cut up Fiction” blends fantasy and science fiction, following a pair of authors, Mio and Zoe, who develop into trapped within the worlds they wrote. Written by director and Hazelight studio chief Josef Fares and Sebastian Johansson, “Cut up Fiction” is a co-op journey recreation that options gameplay mechanics involving split-screen fight, platforming challenges and differing skills for every character.
