Amazon has set a launch date for the second season of its college-set “The Boys” spinoff collection, “Gen V,” and launched the primary teaser trailer for the brand new installment.

The primary three episodes of Season 2 will debut Sept. 17. Extra episodes will drop weekly on Wednesdays by way of the season finale Oct. 22.

Per Amazon’s description for “Gen V” Season 2, “As the remainder of America adjusts to Homelander’s iron fist, again at Godolkin College, the mysterious new Dean preaches a curriculum that guarantees to make college students extra highly effective than ever. Cate and Sam are celebrated heroes, whereas Marie, Jordan, and Emma reluctantly return to varsity, burdened by months of trauma and loss. However events and courses are arduous to care about with conflict brewing between People and Supes, each on and off campus. The gang learns of a secret program that goes again to the founding of Godolkin College that will have bigger implications than they notice. And, in some way, Marie is part of it.”

The eight-episode first season of “Gen V” starred Jaz Sinclair as Marie Moreau, the late Likelihood Perdomo as Andre Anderson, Lizze Broadway as Emma Meyer, Maddie Phillips as Cate Dunlap, London Thor as Jordan Li, Derek Luh as Jordan Li, Asa Germann as Sam Riordan and Sean Patrick Thomas as Polarity. For Season 2, Hamish Linklater has joined the forged as Dean Cipher.

“Gen V” Season 1 aired from Sept. 29-Nov. 3, 2023 and was shortly renewed for a second season.

Following Perdomo’s sudden demise in a bike crash in March 2024, Amazon confirmed his function of Andre Anderson wouldn’t be recast and the deliberate storyline for Season 2 could be adjusted and manufacturing could be delayed accordingly.

Within the teaser trailer for “Gen V” Season 2, Perdomo’s real-life demise is addresses by exhibiting Andre’s father Polarity (Thomas) enraged over his son’s disappearance by the hands of Vought on the finish of Season 1, and Polarity demanding solutions from Dean Cipher about what “actually occurred” to him.

“Gen V” was co-created by Michele Fazekas and Tara Butters. Fazekas serves as showrunner and govt produces alongside “The Boys” showrunner Eric Kripke, Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, James Weaver, Neal H. Moritz, Ori Marmur, Pavun Shetty, Ken Levin, Jason Netter, “The Boys” comedian guide creators Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson, Michaela Starr, Ori Marmur, Thomas Schnauz, Steve Boyum and Brant Engelstein. Co-executive producers embody Loreli Alanís, Gabriel Garcia and Jessica Chou.

“The Boys” spinoff is produced by Sony Photos Tv and Amazon Studios, in affiliation with Kripke Enterprises, Level Gray Photos and Unique Movie.
