The trailer has debuted for Ondřej Provazní’s psychological drama “Damaged Voices,” which has its world premiere in the primary competitors on the Karlovy Differ Movie Pageant. Salaud Morisset is dealing with the movie’s world gross sales rights.

The movie follows 13-year-old Karolína, a gifted novice singer, who’s given the possibility to develop into a member of a world-famous ladies’ choir, taking her place alongside her older sister and her different rivals within the ensemble. Karolína’s expertise has caught the eye of the formidable and much-admired choirmaster whose consideration is needed by all of the younger singers. What would be the worth Karolína has to pay to develop into his favourite?

François Morisset, CEO of Salaud Morisset, stated the movie was “a gripping psychological drama that stored us on edge with its palpable pressure, whereas providing a delicate and intimate portrait of younger girls navigating the bubbled and aggressive world of ladies’ choirs, pushed by abusive authority. It’s a timeless subject, powerfully rendered with nuance and empathy.”

The movie is a Czech Republic, Slovak Republic co-porduction.

The forged consists of Kateřina Falbrová, Juraj Loj, Maya Kintera, Zuzana Šulajová, Marek Cisovský, Ivana Wojtylová, Anna Michalcová, Anežka Novotná and Markéta Kühnová.

The producers are Jiří Konečný and Ivan Ostrochovský for Endorfilm. The movie marks Salaud Morisset’s second collaboration with Konecny after Olmo Omerzu’s brief movie “The Final Day of Patriarchy.”

The co-producers are Punkchart Movies, Česká Televize, Innogy and Barrandov Studio.

The movie was supported by the Czech Audiovisual Fund, Eurimages, South Moravian Movie Fund, Slovak Audiovisual Fund and Subsequent Era EU.
